"Indeed some forms poetry are wisdom and some forms
of speech are magical."

Participation Terms:
1. Participant should be living in US.
2. The poem should be a genuine personal work. Not copied
3. Both languages English and Arabic are acceptable. However, in case of a participant wants to
submit his/her work in a different language he/she should get prior approval for the organizer.
4. Under all circumstances, any work submitted in a language other than the English, should be
accompanied by a translation of the meaning at the same time. If it is submitted without translation it will be rejected.
5. A fee of $10.00 shall be send with the participation form. Submissions without the fees will not
be considered.
6. No hand written copies will be accepted.
7. Any participant can submit more than one poem or cover more than one topic from the following
list. However, he will get only one prize. These topics are arranged alphabetically and not according to their priorities;
- Giving advise to others (naseeha)
- The Hijrah (Migration to Madina)
- Kindness to poor, elderly, senior citizens, and handicapped
- Love of prophet and his wives (The Mothers of Believers)
- Modesty and Islamic dress
- Muslim Character and Morals
8. The registration/participation/enrolment form should be submitted via email. Any missing entries will result in the application returned back to the sender which results in delays and missing the deadlines.
9. The deadline is The Independence day July 4th, 2008. Due to expected high volume, the organizers will reject any submission after the deadline. (Deadline extended to July 31, 2008)
10. The Awards ceremony will be on September 6, 2008 (Extended to October 18, 2008)
11. Valuable prizes at grade levels will be given to the 1st to 3rd winners.
12. Another classification is numbers 1, 2 and 3 in their respective states.
13. A celebration will be held in Metro Washington area.
14. A collection of the poems will be printed ahead of time and will available to buy at the awards ceremony.
15. Free dinner will be served for the participants and others will be charged reasonable charges to help in covering the cost of the celebration event. Depending on the funds available at the time, the 1st winner of each grade level will be granted tickets to fly to Washington DC area.
